It has come to our attention that fraudulent job offers are being made online, on social media and by persons falsely claiming to represent Guaranty Trust Bank (Rwanda) plc (GTBank). In most cases, job seekers are asked to make some form of payment to get a job with the bank. Under no circumstance does GTBank request fees from job applicants.

These offers are recruitment scams and do not originate from GTBank. We strongly advise job seekers and members of the general public to disregard such scam job offers.

How to Identify a Scam Job Offer

  • If a job offer is made without any prior interview(s).
  • If you are being asked to pay any fees or enter into any financial agreement. GTBank never requests for personal bank account details or fees of any type from job applicants during hiring process.
  • If an offer is not made to you in person. GTBank does not make offers by proxy or third party.
  • If the mail correspondence for the job is not from an email with @gtbank.com. GTBank never makes a job offer from third party mail domains, such as: @yahoo.com or @gmail.com.

What to Do If you Receive a Scam Job Offer
